Oh fun, where oh where have you gone?

Okay...the situation might not be that dire, but I do feel like it has been difficult to have fun lately. This could be because I am pregnant (about 24 weeks along) and I am mostly just tired. It makes my fun feel like work some times because I just don't have the energy!

However, I found something I could do - read! I told you all I was going to take the plunge and read The Hunger Games. Well, I did! I finished the series and even went to see the movie last night. The series was very good. The movie was entertaining, but not as good. It has been refreshing to see a strong female character, although the movie played up the "romance" a little too much for me.

What have you all been doing to have fun lately? I would love to get some more followers (please, please) and get some more comments. My goal is for this to be a bit more interactive than it currently is! Hope to hear from you soon!

Sunshine, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and a bicycle with training wheels.  What could be better?

Easter Weekend!

Our family had a great deal of fun over the four day weekend.  I am so thankful for the opportunity.  Here are some highlights...

- A trip to the zoo - that had already closed - turned into a late afternoon on the Plaza shopping and eating dinner.

- Easter church ended with our 3 year-old proclaiming, "Jesus got dead!  And then the girl popped the balloon."  I think some part of the message was not quite understood there...

- The first Easter egg hunt that my daughter "got."  Of course it took forever because we had to look inside each egg after we found it!

- A lazy morning...can you really ask for anything more than coffee and cartoons some mornings?  I think not!

- A visit with many family members.

Did you get an extended weekend?  What fun did you have during the fantastic weather?

Reading Recess

Okay...I am going to fold and admit that I want to read the Hunger Games.  I didn't think I did.  I was going to let this mania pass me by.  I bought into Harry Potter and Twilight, so I thought I would let this one just pass without notice in my household.  However, I continue to hear about the strong female lead that is a much better example for our young females, so I must concede.

I love reading...and now my fun time will be spent reading this book.  Anyone else with me?
